Dot Dot Dot: Graphics Degree Show

The ‘Dot Dot Dot’ branding we developed used ellipsis to represent the open ended junction at the end of a design degree, but also embodied the versatility of simple shapes and the endless possibilities within them. To highlight this, circular stickers were included in the event program and visitors were encouraged to create their own works on the front cover of their program or on a wall during the event.

In The World: SHU Graphics

In The World was an exploratory, experimental exhibition developed mid way through our final year. It aimed to collect project work from across the cohort, finished and developmental, and present them in a new form and with a new perspective that may make people reconsider their work and its place within a larger moment.
For the work to take on a genuinely new dimension, we concluded that it needed to be part of a transformative process that would allow it to evolve alongside other work. My part in the project involved developing a ‘kaleidoscope’ concept that used coloured plates to combine and layer different sets of images. These plates could then projected into any given space and when layered, gradually rotate in place to slowly produce unique presentations and combinations of the different images. In doing so, we create a series of completely new pieces along the way.
